• Blackberry Safe Mode.
Safe Mode starts the Blackberry with no third-party apps or themes, just like Windows. It makes troubleshooting or removing apps very easy.
  • To turn on safe mode, follow these steps:
  1. Do a battery pull.
  2. After you reinsert the battery, watch for the red light-emitting diode (LED). When the LED goes out press and hold the ESCAPE key until the phone finishes booting. Release the ESCAPE key.
  3. When the phone is booted, you’ll see a dialog box telling you that you are in Safe Mode. Click OK.
There is a safe mode indicator in the status section of your home screen.

To turn off safe mode, just do another battery pull.
